Houston, We Have a Problem

How much does it cost to fire up the spacecraft and launch it into space (or fire it back down again due to technical difficulties)

versus

- Feeding the country's poor and homeless?
- Clothing the country's poor and homeless?
- Renovating the run down and debilitated housing some are forced to live in?
- Providing water to famined areas and people in Africa?
- Establishing a healthcare system for everyone?
- Finding an environmentally safe replacement fuel for gasoline/oil?
